kW is not enough: match the inertia

Three motors with the same power behave differently. The slim EM3A rotor accelerates quickly; the thick EM3G rotor absorbs load steps like a flywheel.

About Estun

What is ONX Control's role for Estun?

ONX Control has been ESTUN Automation's authorized distributor for Türkiye since 2022 (certificate No: EST-SERVO-07001). It handles sales, delivery from stock, set preparation, commissioning and technical support for Estun servo systems.

Which motor should I choose: EM3A, EM3J or EM3G?

Use low-inertia EM3A on fast start-stop axes (flying shear, packaging, robotics); EM3J for general-purpose conveyors and linear modules; high-inertia EM3G with 1500 rpm rated speed for fluctuating loads such as CNC, woodworking and winders. The ratio of load inertia to motor inertia decides.

Do Estun drives work with CODESYS?

Yes. ED3L and ED3S EtherCAT drives support the CiA 402 profile and run directly on CODESYS controllers and with the ONX X Motion library. They are our standard drive in flying shear and rotary knife projects.
