Field Commissioning
In short
Field commissioning brings drive parameters, servo tuning, axis synchronization and machine software into operation on site after the machine has been installed. ONX Control engineers tune and test the drives, EtherCAT network and motion control in place.
Scope of service
- I/O and wiring checks
- Drive parameterization, motor measurement (autotune) and servo gain tuning
- EtherCAT network test and synchronization (Distributed Clocks) check
- Tuning of motion profiles, electronic cams and axis synchronization
- Testing of safety functions (emergency stop, STO)
- Parameter and software backups, commissioning report
How we work
-
1
Preparation
Electrical drawings, software and motor data are reviewed before going to site.
-
2
Cold test
Wiring and I/O are checked before power-up.
-
3
Axis commissioning
Drives are parameterized, motors measured, and axes tested individually and in synchronization.
-
4
Process test and handover
The machine is run under production conditions; backups and the report are handed over.
Frequently asked questions
Do you commission machines whose software was written by another company?
Yes; drives, servo tuning and the EtherCAT side can be commissioned independently. If software changes are needed, the scope is agreed in advance.
Which drive brands do you work with?
Mainly Control Techniques, Estun and Leroy-Somer products and CODESYS-based controllers; other brands are assessed per project.
