17-Axis Servo Cake Packaging Line: Smart Belt and Lug Chain

What the video shows

A 17-axis servo cake packaging line automated by ONX Control, in 36 seconds. Randomly spaced cakes are buffered on an accumulation belt; the smart belt detects every product with a photo-eye, gaps it and puts it in phase with the packaging machine's master axis. A lug chain transfers the cakes to the horizontal flow wrapper in sync; print registration is corrected on every pack and the rotary jaws seal and cut. The operator panel shows a machine speed of more than 600 packs per minute.
